Project 2 Comps

Here are the comp(s) for the box that the bottle will come in. The bottle itself will just have the delicate 'C' letter on the front, in black, with no other type or imagery.

  1. I like the very left one. It looks nice but also looks kinda busy to me with texture and the script symbols.

  2. The design on the left works the best because the enlarged, bleeding organic lines gives the composition a dynamic feel. I would, however, consider pulling back the opacity of the background so that it's not competing with the main graphic.

  3. I'm feelin the limited color palet though I agree with Jethro. That white 'C' should be the obvious first read, it's shadow is too prominent and is convoluting the design.

  4. #1 or #3
#1 is more active as it bleeds and the movement of the characters make it seem like its jumping on the surface
#3 is more traditional and sophisticated.

with either try a more apparent gradient in the background from dark to light or perhaps a circular vignette with the brightest part being behind the main graphic. not a bad start.

  5. I like the one on the right, because you had mentioned that on the bottle you are going to put just the 'c' and the one on the right is the only one to have writing that is somewhat legible. You would want to have an explanation of what your product is clearly visible.

  6. Very nice designs, however I thought this was a design for a men's cologne brand rather than an eye make-up remover brand. I don't think your color usage would appeal to your target audience, being women, unless your targeting men who use heavy black eyeliner? It doesn't correspond to the company much either, or the product for that matter, which uses clean, pure, natural oils. I feel like you took a more personal aesthetic approach rather than having a solid concept on how to redesign your product. The design in your sketches seemed more feminine and legible.
